Kevin's Chick Car   Date: Thursday, June 16, 2011 Another project by Kevin is called “The CHICK CAR“. Brought up from the US is this 1994 Camaro Ragtop. Kevin always gave the guy (Don) a hard time calling his car a “CHICK CAR”. It was good fun and it caught on with other members.WELL a hail storm passed threw and damaged the car. Don decided to sell it and seeing that Kevin's Corvette was destroyed in a fire and he was in need of a ride in the fall of 2009, he picked it up. Now the table had turned and Kevin was the proud owner of the CHICK CAR. He drove her as she was the rest of that season. Then Kevin decided to repair the car with a few changes. After stripping the car and fixing the damage, he repainted it in his little shop. With help from another club member (Ed) they designed a ghost flame design to wrap around the hood and down the sides.All was going fine, the graphics looked awesome and went on well. It was to be baby blue pearl flames on a pearl white base . Well we all know what happens to the best laid plans with limited experience ~~~~~ the paint did not react properly and the flames ended up an off white. Frustrated and under a time crunch Kevin assembled the car, bad paint and all and is driving her now. The plan is to put her back in the shop in the fall of 2011 as Kevin is repainting his 1998 Trans AM G.T.A  in spring 2011 and has been hard at work on his 1941 Chev pickup ( hoping to have it out spring 2012) One cant have to many toys.
